Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited PA or NP program with certification exams.
• Current Physician Assistant license with NC Medical Board or Nurse Practitioner license with NC Board of Nursing.
• DEA license required.
• Prescriptive authority eligibility through NC boards.
• BLS for healthcare providers with expiration >90 days from start date.
• Hepatitis B vaccine and flu vaccine form completion.
• TB test required.

Responsibilities

• Seeing all patients of Tryon Medical Partners.

• Performing minor office-based medical procedures.

• Writing prescriptions and administering medications.
• Ordering and interpreting labs and radiology.
• Determining treatment plan for patients.
• Documenting encounters in patient records.
• Collaborating with supervising physician and care team.
• Advocating for patients and contributing to policy development.

Advanced Care Practitioner - Primary Care

Job Summary:This individual will function independently in collaboration with a supervisingphysician. The emphasis is on routine office visits, minor office-basedproceduresand follow-up visits with the patient population.

Primary Job Responsibilities/Tasks may include, but not limited to:

• Seeingall patientsofTryon Medical Partners.
• Performing initial and periodic medical history and physical examinations.
• Recording findings of examinations,assessmentsand plan of care.
• Performing minor office-based medical and/or surgical procedures.
• Performing telemedicine services.
• Writingappropriate prescriptionsand administering medications.
• Responding topatientinquiresand requests.
• Ordering and interpreting laboratory and radiology examinations.
• Determiningtreatment plan forpatient.
• Documenting all patient encounters,recordobservations, interventions, and actions in a medicallyappropriateandtimelymanner on the patient’s medical record.
• Consulting with supervisingphysicianas necessary.
• Working withbroadercare team to provide services to patients of Tryon Medical Partners.
• Acts as a patient advocate for the population served.
• Attending,participating, and contributing to group/practice meetings and development of policies and procedures when requested.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education and Certifications

• Completion of an accredited physician assistant or nurse practitioner program withappropriate certificationexams.
• Has andmaintainscurrent Physician Assistant license with the North Carolina Medical Board or Nurse Practitioner license with the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
• Must have or be eligible for a DEA license.
• Eligible for prescriptive authority application through the Board of Nursing or Medical Board in NCrequired.
• BLS for healthcare provider from AHAor American Red Crossrequiredwithexpirationdate greater than90 daysfrom date of beginning practice.
• Completion of Hepatitis B Vaccine and Flu Vaccine Form will be required.Candidate may decline vaccination through declination form or may provide record of vaccination frompreviousemployer.
• Completion ofTBtest will berequired.

Experience:

• 1+yearof experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Work consistently requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling.
• Must be able to lift and support weight of 35 pounds
• Ability to concentrate on details.
• Use ofcomputerforlong periodsof time.
