Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited PA or NP program with certification exams.
• Current license to practice as PA or NP in North Carolina.
• DEA license held or eligible for DEA registration.
• Eligible to apply for prescriptive authority in NC.
• BLS for healthcare providers with expiry >90 days from start.
• Vaccination requirements: Hepatitis B and Flu or approved declination/record.
• TB test completed prior to or on start date.
• 1+ year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• See all patients of Tryon Medical Partners and perform history and physicals.
• Record findings and develop plans of care; document in medical record.
• Perform minor office-based procedures and telemedicine visits.
• Prescribe and administer medications as appropriate.
• Order and interpret labs and imaging; coordinate with supervising physician.
• Participate in group meetings and contribute to policies and procedures.
• Provide patient advocacy and serve as part of the care team.

Education

Completion of accredited physician assistant program with certification exams

Licensed as Physician Assistant with NC Medical Board or Nurse Practitioner with NC Board of Nursing

DEA license current or eligible

Prescriptive authority application through NC Board of Nursing or Medical Board

BLS for healthcare provider (AHA or Red Cross)

Hepatitis B vaccine and Flu vaccine record/form

Tuberculosis test completed

Advanced Care Practitioner - Primary Care

Job Summary:This individual will function independently in collaboration with a supervisingphysician. The emphasis is on routine office visits, minor office-basedproceduresand follow-up visits with the patient population.

Primary Job Responsibilities/Tasks may include, but not limited to:

• Seeingall patientsofTryon Medical Partners.
• Performing initial and periodic medical history and physical examinations.
• Recording findings of examinations,assessmentsand plan of care.
• Performing minor office-based medical and/or surgical procedures.
• Performing telemedicine services.
• Writingappropriate prescriptionsand administering medications.
• Responding topatientinquiresand requests.
• Ordering and interpreting laboratory and radiology examinations.
• Determiningtreatment plan forpatient.
• Documenting all patient encounters,recordobservations, interventions, and actions in a medicallyappropriateandtimelymanner on the patient’s medical record.
• Consulting with supervisingphysicianas necessary.
• Working withbroadercare team to provide services to patients of Tryon Medical Partners.
• Acts as a patient advocate for the population served.
• Attending,participating, and contributing to group/practice meetings and development of policies and procedures when requested.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education and Certifications

• Completion of an accredited physician assistant or nurse practitioner program withappropriate certificationexams.
• Has andmaintainscurrent Physician Assistant license with the North Carolina Medical Board or Nurse Practitioner license with the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
• Must have or be eligible for a DEA license.
• Eligible for prescriptive authority application through the Board of Nursing or Medical Board in NCrequired.
• BLS for healthcare provider from AHAor American Red Crossrequiredwithexpirationdate greater than90 daysfrom date of beginning practice.
• Completion of Hepatitis B Vaccine and Flu Vaccine Form will be required.Candidate may decline vaccination through declination form or may provide record of vaccination frompreviousemployer.
• Completion ofTBtest will berequired.

Experience:

• 1+yearof experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Work consistently requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling.
• Must be able to lift and support weight of 35 pounds
• Ability to concentrate on details.
• Use ofcomputerforlong periodsof time.
