Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking qualified emergency medical personnel to respond in an ambulance to emergencies and interfacility transports. You will deliver immediate basic life support, CPR and AED, and assist with patient care during transport to hospital facilities.

Preferred candidates hold Indiana EMT certification (or national certification) and a valid Indiana driver’s license; additional ALS certifications may be required by the unit. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• BLS certification through the American Heart Association required.
• Indiana EMT certification or national certification with eventual transfer required within 30 days of start.
• Valid Indiana driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Responds in an emergency medical vehicle to scenes of emergencies and transports patients as needed.
• Provides immediate basic life support care at the scene and enroute to the hospital.
• Performs non-invasive procedures such as CPR and AED application.
• Assists with patient care and transport as part of a hospital-based advanced care ambulance service.
