Job summary

SouthPark Cardiology is seeking a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer to perform transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography and stress echo in adult patients. The role requires analyzing clinical history to tailor echocardiograms and to extend examinations when clinically indicated.

The position is full-time with flexible scheduling, Monday through Friday, and involves collaboration with our Cardiology team to deliver high-quality cardiac imaging and patient care.

Qualifications

• RDCS or RCS certification is required or preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in echocardiography.
• Active BLS certification is required; ACLS preferred.
• TB test and Hepatitis B vaccination per policy.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced cardiac ultrasound procedures and measurements for accurate results.
• Assist in procedure rooms and operating rooms for complex echocardiography.
• Prepare patients with clinical history to tailor imaging techniques.
• Maintain echocardiography lab equipment and record statistics daily.
• Start patient IVs and respond to equipment malfunctions as needed.
• Serve as a resource to staff, physicians, and students on equipment and techniques.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
