Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque, NM, is seeking a Cardiac Device Specialist (CDS) to manage CIEDs in clinic and remote transmissions. You will evaluate device status, respond to pacing responses, and collaborate with nurses and physicians to ensure safe patient care.

Responsibilities include documenting in EMR/CIED systems, coordinating with the care team, educating patients on device function and remote monitoring, and assisting with follow-ups and device replacements.

Qualificações

• Associate degree in an Allied Health related field.
• Formal CIED training within six months of hire with certificate of completion from Arrhythmia Technologies Institute, PrepMD or similar program.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS) preferred; CCDS certification within 5 years from hire.

Responsabilidades

• Performs CIED interrogation in the ambulatory clinic; evaluates device status, function, and patient response.
• Troubleshoots sensing/capture issues and device/lead abnormalities; addresses malfunctions.
• Documents in the EMR and CIED reporting system; ensures timely billing.
• Coordinates with healthcare team to respond to patients and clinic volumes; ensures timely care.
• Educates patients and families on device function and remote monitoring; schedules follow-ups.
