Job summary

VSE is seeking an Avionic Technician II to inspect, service, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul aircraft components while maintaining a safe work environment and complying with all regulations.

Responsibilities include diagnosing avionics issues, performing repairs, and documenting work per manuals. Candidates should have strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read electrical drawings, with proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant/technical work experience or 3 additional years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Ability to teardown, inspect, requisition parts, assemble, test, troubleshoot and overhaul aircraft accessory/avionic/oxygen units to the component level.
• Ability to read and understand electrical engineering drawings.
• Effective written and verbal communication about aircraft status.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, modify and service aircraft avionics/accessories/oxygen equipment.
• Perform and document work per manuals and regulations.
• Follow environmental health and safety policies and 5-S practices.
• Operate ground support equipment as required.
• Assist with mechanical/electrical removals and installations.
• Assist with maintenance at off-site locations as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
