Job summary

AutoNation is seeking an Advanced Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance per dealer and factory standards, helping build customer loyalty through trust in AutoNation as a care-giver for safety and reliability.

You will collaborate with Service Advisors, Parts, and other Technicians, conduct multi-point inspections, document work, stay current with factory bulletins, and participate in training to advance into future roles.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician.
• Automotive technical training (varies based on store needs).
• Attention to detail and strong organization/follow-up skills required.
• Valid in-state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on the repair order, per dealership and factory standards, to drive customer loyalty.
• Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnosing the cause of malfunctions and performing repairs if authorized by the customer.
• Conducting multi-point inspections to make appropriate recommendations for safety and reliability.
• Documenting work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
• Maintaining an inventory of tools not normally inventoried by the service department as 'special tools'.
• Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate.
• Providing an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty.
