Job summary

Manheim, a Cox Automotive company, in Jacksonville, FL, is hiring an Automotive Technician II to perform advanced diagnostics, maintenance and inspections across a variety of vehicles.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with related experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to drive standard, automatic and electric vehicles. Shift is 7:30 PM–4:30 PM, Monday–Friday. ASE certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
• High school diploma or GED with 3 years of related work experience.
• Any degree or certification above a high school diploma/GED with one year of related work experience.
• 5 years of related work experience without a degree.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Ability to drive standard, automatic and electric vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Performe highly skilled maintenance and repairs across a wide range of vehicle systems.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and drivability issues, including brakes, tires, suspension and related components.
• Conduct advanced diagnostics and repairs across key systems, including starting and charging, AC, OBDII and electrical systems.
• Complete detailed mechanical inspections, including required measurements, and document any deficiencies across interior, exterior, engine and driveline components.
• Maintain compliance with safety and environmental standards, including proper handling of recyclables, fluids, tires and waste.
• Assist with upfitting new vehicles with required equipment.
• Source and manage parts through approved vendors.
• Support additional service needs, including OEM recall work as required.
