Job summary

At Manheim, a Cox Automotive company, automotive technicians perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, maintenance and inspections across a variety of vehicles at Manheim in Oceanside, CA. Work schedule is Mon-Fri, day shift. New hires may receive a $1,500 tools bonus.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with 3 years of related experience, or higher education with 1 year experience, or 5 years without a degree. ASE certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3 years of related work experience or higher degree/cert with 1 year related experience or 5 years without a degree.
• ASE Certification is preferred for qualification above the minimum.
• Proficient with diagnostic tools and vehicle systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform highly skilled maintenance and repairs across a wide range of vehicle systems.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and drivability issues, including brakes, tires, suspension and related components.
• Conduct advanced diagnostics and repairs across key systems, including starting and charging, AC, OBDII and electrical systems.
• Complete detailed mechanical inspections, including required measurements, and document any deficiencies across interior, exterior, engine and driveline components.
• Maintain compliance with safety and environmental standards, including proper handling of recyclables, fluids, tires and waste.
• Assist with upfitting new vehicles with required equipment.
• Source and manage parts through approved vendors.
• Support additional service needs, including OEM recall work as required.
