Job summary

Plan B Autobody is seeking an experienced Auto Body Technician to perform high-quality collision repairs in a fast-paced shop environment. The role emphasizes following OEM procedures, safety standards, and quality expectations while delivering safe, accurate repairs.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of collision repair experience, proficiency in structural and non-structural repairs, and familiarity with frame equipment, measuring systems, and OEM repair methods.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of collision repair experience preferred.
• Proficient in structural and non-structural repair techniques.
• Experience using frame machines and computerized measuring systems.
• Strong understanding of OEM repair procedures and industry best practices.
• I-CAR certifications preferred; I-CAR Platinum or Gold Class experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret repair plans and estimates.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality structural and non-structural repairs in accordance with OEM repair procedures.
• Repair, replace, and straighten damaged vehicle components using proper tools and techniques.
• Operate frame equipment, measuring systems, and specialized repair tools accurately.
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards.
• Disassemble and reassemble vehicles as required during the repair process.
• Document repair procedures and communicate any additional damage or repair needs.
• Work closely with estimators, parts personnel, and production staff to ensure timely repairs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Participate in training opportunities and stay current on evolving vehicle technologies and repair methods.
• Support quality control processes to ensure repairs are completed correctly the first time.
