Job summary

Maintenance Technician II at NHE, Inc. in Charlotte, NC, maintains the physical condition, safety, and appearance of the apartment community under supervision.

You will perform repairs, preventive maintenance, make-readies, coordinate vendors, and respond to emergencies. Expect a flexible schedule including weekends, on-call rotations, and some holidays, with potential advancement to Maintenance Supervisor.

Qualifications

• The role requires at least 2 years of multifamily maintenance experience or 3 years of general maintenance experience.
• EPA Certification (Type I & II or Universal) is required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair work for apartment homes, common areas, and community equipment.
• Complete apartment inspections, make-readies, move-in/move-out assessments, and work orders.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, drywall, pools/spas, and other community equipment.
• Prioritize and respond to resident service requests and maintenance emergencies.
• Maintain community curb appeal, grounds, and safety standards.
