Bass Pro Shops in Arkansas is seeking an Advanced Welder to weld, cut and braze metal pieces using pneumatic grinding and hand welding equipment. This role requires careful attention to detail and adherence to safety standards.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, a welding certification, and about 1 year of welding experience (including at least 6 months in an entry welder role) or completed apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Welding certification from a technical college or trade school.
• 1 year welding experience at a similar facility preferred; minimum 6 months as an Entry Welder at current facility; completion of formal apprenticeship or in-company training.

Responsibilities

• Plans details of work order procedures; gathers required tools and materials.
• Repairs and fabricates items using cutting, burning, and welding techniques and equipment.
• Monitors welding, burning, and fitting to prevent overheating, warping, or damage.
• Prepares, assembles, and tack weld parts and surfaces to be welded.
• Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area.
• Notifies supervisor when faulty equipment or materials are discovered.
• All other duties as assigned.
