Job summary

MyCare Medical in Pharr, TX is seeking a full-time Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to serve as the primary clinical provider for our patients. You will deliver high-quality primary care in an outpatient setting, work with a multidisciplinary team, and focus on prevention and chronic disease management.

The role includes on-call responsibilities, a competitive base salary, and an annual quality bonus.

Qualifications

• Certification required through AANP or ANCC.
• Active licensure as Acute, Adult/Gerontological or Family NP in the practicing state.
• Two years of NP experience preferred.
• DEA and CDS licensure eligibility may be required.
• CPR and BLS certification current.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary clinical care for adult patients in outpatient setting.
• Work Monday–Friday 8am–5pm with on-call as needed.
• Utilize EMR (eCW) and related programs to support patient care.
• Focus on preventive care, disease management, and cost-effective treatment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes.

About the Role

MyCare Medical is actively seeking a full-time, certified Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant is the primary clinical provider for MyCare patients. Join our team in Pharr, TX. We are a medical practice specializing in primary care. We deliver the highest quality care to our patients at the lowest costs available to them. Our company is physician-founded, and dyad-led. We've created a structural support system to ensure that our providers can focus solely on patient care.

Responsibilities

• Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm
• Rotating and flexible on-call schedule.
• We use eClinical Works (eCW), along with partnering programs to ensure ease of use for our patients and practices.
• We focus on continuity of care, health maintenance, and disease prevention, working alongside patients and their families to prevent, diagnose, treat and manage a population with multiple comorbidities.
• Integrated team-based care: Working as a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes by meeting their needs and preferences.
• Prioritizing preventative care and proactive management of chronic conditions to improve patient outcomes, decrease patient’s costs, and increase revenue for the practice.
• Providers must be comfortable managing a primarily adult-aged patient population.

Qualifications

• Certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) OR American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
• Certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) OR American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) program, focusing on adult medicine
• Certification through an accredited PA certification program focusing on adult medicine
• Currently licensed as an Acute, Adult/Gerontological or Family Nurse Practitioner in the state of practice or the ability to obtain a license prior to employment
• Ideal Candidate, with a minimum of two years of experience as Nurse Practitioner
• Holds or is eligible for DEA licensure and CDS licensure (if required in the state of practice)
• Up-to-date CPR Certification and Basic Cardiac Life Support certification

Required Skills

• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Ability to use Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
• 2 years of experience of Medical Advantage, HEIDS, MRA and ICD-10 Coding
• Comfortable managing a primarily adult-aged patient population
• Demonstrated ability to problem-solve complex and multifaceted situations
