Job summary

RoundPoint Mortgage Servicing LLC seeks a Corporate Advance Control Analyst to strengthen controls and oversight of servicing advance assets. You will analyze financial data and mortgage servicing activity to ensure correct accounting and identify opportunities to reduce losses while providing leadership with meaningful insights.

The role involves refining processes, designing new procedures, and partnering with Finance, Loan Administration, Investor Reporting, Default Servicing and Claims

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of recent experience as a data analyst, report developer, or another related title in a financial services environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or Computer Science preferred.
• Experience with SQL programming language is preferred.
• Experience with Black Knight MSP is preferred.
• Strong big-picture understanding of servicing operations, internal controls and accounting.
• Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Independent ability to collect and assess data for analytical solutions.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication with internal and external customers, peers and management.
• Self-starting and adaptable to fast-paced environments.
• Experience with mortgage servicing and cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities

• Sustain reporting of servicing advances primarily through SQL.
• Conduct quantitative analysis of advances across population levels.
• Identify opportunities to increase income and recover receivables.
• Review servicing advance expenditures and claim fund receipts.
• Evaluate analysis across multiple loan populations.
• Analyze Unclaimed Funds and escheatable items timely remittance.
• Provide regular reporting on advances, recoveries and trends.
• Support securitization and funding of servicing advances through debt facilities.
• Assist monthly liquidity planning and forecasting for servicing advances.
• Govern transaction methodology and allocation mapping between Servicing and Accounting.
• Support initiatives aligned with team and leadership goals.
• Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
