Job summary

The Naperville Public Library is seeking an Adult Services Librarian to deliver reference and Readers' Advisory services, assist with technology, and lead paraprofessional staff in managing the adult collection and programs. You will stay current on adult/teen literature and library trends, provide proactive customer service, and contribute to outreach and evaluation of services.

Mastery of MS Office, strong communication, and collaboration across departments are essential for success in this

Qualifications

• Master of Library and Information Science degree (ALA accredited college/university).
• Library experience required.
• Bilingual proficiency a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides reference and Readers' Advisory assistance for users, including topical research and material location.
• Provides leadership, training and guidance to staff and the public in the area of Adult & Teen Services.
• Stays current with adult and teen literature, relevant technology, and library trends.
• Performs other related duties and special projects assigned.
