Job summary

Greene County Public Library in Yellow Springs, OH is seeking Adult Services Librarian I or II to support information services for adults and families. The role includes reference help, program design, and community outreach within a 20-hour per week schedule.

Qualified Librarian II candidates hold an MLS from an ALA-accredited school and have 1–3 years of library or customer service experience. Librarian I requires a BA and similar experience. Evening and weekend availability is expected.

Qualifications

• MLS from an ALA-accredited school is required for Librarian II; 1–3 years of library or customer service experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree required for Librarian I; 1–3 years of library or customer service experience preferred.
• Experience with reference service, including electronic retrieval, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer reference questions and perform research using print and electronic sources.
• Instruct patrons and provide one-to-one or group help with library resources.
• Develop and evaluate the collection; identify community information needs and suggest materials.
