Job summary

Virginia Department of Social Services seeks a professional to support Adult Services/Adult Protective Services. You will respond to intake calls, meet with walk-ins, and link cases into PeerPlace while gathering information to determine eligibility for AS services.

The role involves documenting information, coordinating with clients and professionals, and assisting with emergency cases as required. A high school diploma with related coursework is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with post-secondary coursework in social work, human services, gerontology, or related field and relevant public admin experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Services preferred; or Bachelor's with two years aging-related experience.

Responsibilities

• Respond to AS/APS Intake line calls and walk-ins.
• Enter and link data into PeerPlace case management system.
• Provide referrals for community-based services and resources.
• Maintain case records and conduct required case contacts.
• Assist in emergency or special case responsibilities as needed.
