Job summary

The Rogers Free Library in Bristol, RI seeks an experienced Adult Programming and Outreach Coordinator to plan and promote adult programs, market services, and coordinate partnerships with community partners. This role reports to the Assistant Library Director/Adult Services Coordinator and supports outreach with a focus on audience engagement.

Requirements include a Master’s in Library Science or Communications or Marketing, at least three years of professional experience, and the ability to

• Master’s in Library Science or Communications or Marketing preferred.
• Minimum of three years professional experience; library experience preferred.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs. occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the overarching program and marketing plans for the library.
• Plan and implement programs for adults and promote events across channels.
• Build relationships with community partners and agencies for responsive programming.
• Collaborate with departments for intergenerational programming.
• Create web and social media content to promote programs and engage the community.
