Adult Outpatient Psychiatrist - Brooklyn, NY

Community teaching hospital in Brooklyn, New York, is seeking an Adult Psychiatrist to work in its outpatient services department. The psychiatrist will perform evaluations, medication management, risk assessments, and develop treatment plans. The patient base consists of an underserved adult population presenting with various mental health and dual diagnosis issues, including low socioeconomic status and MICA patients.

Outpatient services include:

• Behavioral Health Program – Adult
• Chemical Dependency Outpatient Program
• Continuing Day Treatment Program
• Mobile Crisis Team
• Partial Hospitalization Program
• Alternative Housing Program
• Intensive Psychiatric Rehabilitation Treatment
• HIV Out-stationing Program (HOP)

The hospital offers a continuum of care, including acute, medical, surgical, gynecological, pediatric, and psychiatric inpatient and outpatient care, along with emergency services and patient-focused education and prevention services in both inpatient and ambulatory settings.

This position is Monday to Friday, with voluntary call available, which is compensated above the regular salary. Full hospital benefits are provided.
