Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must hold a PA teaching certificate with ESL specialization.

Responsibilities

• Plans ESL and language arts units aligned to standards and participates in co-teaching to integrate language development.
• Evaluates language progress and maintains records for students and the district.
• Collaborates with English teachers weekly to plan lessons and shares findings with staff.
• Conducts screenings and leads EL identification, reclassification, and monitoring of former ELs.
• Provides professional development to staff during common planning time.
• Maintains a positive classroom environment and accurate attendance/grade records.
