The Student Advisor promotes and enhances the overall academic mission of the Urbana School District #116 and the Urbana Adult Education Center by providing services that strengthen home/school/community partnerships and alleviate barriers to learning. The Student Advisor supports the social, emotional, academic, and transition needs of Urbana Adult Education students.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
Minimum requirement is a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in social work, counseling, education, or psychology, or related fields. A Master's degree is preferred.
Two years or more of school-based and/or social service experience preferred.
10 months; Tentative Salary Range: $60,000-$65,000 with Master's degree; final salary offer will be contingent upon education and experience.
To be completed by the Director using a district-approved evaluation instrument.
