Somerton School District is seeking a temporary, grant-funded Adult Education instructor starting September 2026. You will deliver ESOL/GED prep classes for adults, align instruction with Adult Education Standards, and work with staff to support student retention and attendance.
The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Education (or equivalent), flexibility in scheduling, and preferred bilingual Spanish/English ability. Fingerprint clearance is required at hire.

Adult Education Director
Under limited supervision, provides educational instruction in assigned area(s) of specialty, grade and program level in compliance with approved academic standards and curriculum for Somerton Elementary School District.

Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments. Work requires frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting and/or carrying up to 30 pounds. May be exposed to infectious diseases and body fluid borne pathogens.
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Education. Ability to obtain State Board of Education, Adult Education Certification. Ability to work a flexible schedule. Fluency in both Spanish and English is preferred. One (1) year teaching experience in Adult Education preferred. Fingerprint Clearance Card (IVP) required at time of hiring.
