Southeast New Mexico College (SENMC) in Carlsbad, NM, is hiring an Adult Education Coordinator under the Adult Education Director. The coordinator will work with instructors, staff, and partner agencies to support student success.
Bachelor’s degree with three (3) years of professional experience related to the standard duties as outlined. Bilingual in English and Spanish. Proficient with computers, Microsoft Office, and/or Google Workspace.
Experience teaching or working in Adult Education and experience with grant management.
Any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience as approved by the Human Resources Department.

Under the supervision of the Adult Education Director, the Adult Education Coordinator will assist with all student interactions in the program in accordance with federal, state, and institutional policies and guidelines, and will provide administrative and operational support for all department initiatives, grant management, and community engagement activities. This includes working with students, part-time instructors, the Adult Education Director, office staff, the Workforce Department, and partner agencies to design, develop, and deliver high-quality Adult Education programming, student engagement, and career exploration.
Performing the essential functions of this position requires the use of a computer throughout most of the workday, the ability to navigate a typical office environment, significant amounts of interpersonal interaction including oral and written communication, and the ability to keep track of multiple tasks, projects, deadlines, information sources, and business processes.
