Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center is seeking an experienced Echo Technologist to perform comprehensive echocardiograms under the supervision of the non-invasive cardiology team. The role includes 2D, M-Mode, Doppler, and transesophageal studies with emphasis on high technical standards.

Requirements include an associate degree in echocardiography, BLS, and ARDMS/RCS credentials; ACLS preferred. Hospital experience and Epic proficiency are desired, with a focus on patient safety and data accuracy.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an associate degree echo program and/or an accredited echo training program.
• Current American Heart Association ACLS preferred.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers from American Heart Association required.
• RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI) required.
• Experience with Philips ie33 and EPIQ equipment, TEE probes, and Epic.
• Typing and computer skills preferred.
• Work Experience: 1 year hospital experience preferred.

• Demonstrates understanding of role in fire and disaster.
• Participates in mandatory programs.
• Maintains organized and clean working environment.
• Prepares echocardiographic worksheets for physicians review and interpretation.
• Supports department Quality Assurance through accurate data collection.
• Demonstrates ability to work independently and in a team, taking instruction professionally.
• Resolves conflicts and uses chain of command to drive outcomes.
• Prioritizes STAT and routine orders and responds to STAT calls.
