Job summary

Maxim Healthcare in Phoenix, AZ is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for homecare with an adult patient requiring G-tube, tracheostomy, seizure and Foley care. Work schedule Sundays, Mondays or Tuesdays and Saturdays from 7:00am to 1:00pm.

The RN will apply the nursing process to plan, implement and evaluate care, administer medications, monitor outcomes, and coordinate with physicians and family. Maxim provides competitive pay, benefits, and weekly paychecks.

Qualifications

• Current RN license for the state where the nurse practices (Arizona).
• Health Certificate current as per facility/state regulations.
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS certification.
• One year RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and services.
• Initiates the plan of care and requests revisions as patient needs change.
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on diagnosis and goals.
• Intervenes in response to changes in patient condition and reports to physician or supervisor.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed and documents effectiveness.
• Reviews plan of care and identifies education, care coordination, and discharge planning needs.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services, as required
• Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests from prescriber any necessary revisions as patient status and needs change
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals
• Intervenes as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and reports such changes to appropriate physician or supervisor
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as, monitors and documents effectiveness of intervention
• Reviews plan of care and program protocols and identifies areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting and discharge planning needs, as applicable

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Current Health Certificate (per facility Registered Nurse (RN) contract or state regulation).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year prior Registered Nurse (RN) experience preferred.
