This part-time role (up to 29 hours/week) focuses on teaching daily living, social, and community-based skills through person-centered support, with emphasis on independence and community integration. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
• Valid Florida Driver’s License with a clean 3-year driving record.
• Must complete background screening and CPR/First Aid certification.
• Must communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken.
• Commitment to confidentiality and non-disclosure.

In this role, you will help individuals build greater independence by teaching and reinforcing daily living, social, recreational, and community-based skills through person-centered support.The Life Skills Specialist works directly with participants to identify meaningful goals, plan activities based on individual interests and choices, encourage healthy lifestyle habits, and promote community inclusion.
