AHRC New York City is actively seeking Direct Support Professionals to assist adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities in community participation and everyday activities across all five boroughs. This role emphasizes empathy, teamwork, and person-centered planning to help participants lead meaningful lives in inclusive settings.

The position offers Monday–Friday schedules for full-time (8:30am–3:30pm) and weekday hours for part-time roles, with competitive pay ($20/hour) and a

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Personal and/or Professional experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
• Knowledge of Home and Community Based Waiver, and the ability to keep up to date pertaining to such knowledge, and interpret same.
• Understanding of Person Centered Planning.
• Reasonable flexibility in work hours and ability to respond to the scheduling needs of the individual.
• Ability to establish and maintain a working relationship with program participants, families, staff and community agencies.
• Ability to communicate both orally and in written form in English.
