Job summary

Tutor Me Education is seeking an experienced Academic Coach or Tutor to work one-on-one with an adult college student at City College of San Francisco, focusing on general college support and executive functioning.

The role requires flexibility for 2–3 sessions per week (1.5–2 hours each), with hours around 2:00 PM on Mon, Tue slots, and campus-based at CCSF in San Francisco. Pay ranges up to $45–$50 per hour, reflecting experience and impact.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized 1:1 academic coaching and tutoring for general introductory college courses
• Assist with reading comprehension, foundational essay writing, organization, and assignment planning
• Implement strategies to build executive functioning skills, including time management, note-taking, and task initiation
• Adapt coaching methods to support learners with mental health challenges and/or disabilities, maintaining a calm, empathetic, and structured dynamic
• Help the student navigate college course portals, syllabus requirements, and assignment deadlines
• Foster student autonomy while providing a supportive safety net for academic stress
