Job summary

Pardee UNC Health Care in North Carolina is seeking a Clinical Nurse in Psychiatry to join Pardee Hospital. The role reports to the Nurse Manager/Director and focuses on coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities include administering nursing care under physician direction, documenting the care plan and patient responses, collaborating with the care team, and maintaining safety and competency through ongoing training and adherence

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina or one of compact states by the day of clinical care.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• ACLS certification may be preferred or required depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Administers patient care under the direction of a physician and collaborates with the care team.
• Reports and records the plan for care, nursing care given, and patient responses.
• Delivers competent clinical nursing care aligned with policies and procedures.
• Organizes and prioritizes care according to patient and family needs.
• Collaborates with peers to foster intra/interdepartmental communication.
• Synthesizes data to determine priorities for care and discharge planning.
• Communicates plan of care with patient/family using cultural competence.
• Develops clinical and operational excellence through education and training.
• Maintains a safe, clean hospital environment with standard precautions.
