Job summary

Deerfield Park District is seeking an Adult Basketball Supervisor to manage the Sachs Recreation Center basketball league. The role includes game setup, scoreboard operation, sign-in verification and reporting final scores.

This part-time position runs Monday evenings (6:00-9:30 PM) with a pay rate of 18.00 USD per hour. Eligible benefits include a Sachs Recreation Center free membership during employment with the park district.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old or older.
• Works well in a team environment.
• Must pass a background check.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with a culturally diverse public while focusing on safety and quality customer service.

Responsibilities

• Set up scorer's table.
• Operate scoreboard, including keeping time, fouls and score during the games.
• Ensure that teams sign in on the scoresheets.
• Record final scores for reporting to Athletic Supervisor.
• Ensure games are conducted in a safe, fair and timely manner.
• Provide high quality customer service to internal customers and support team building and external customer satisfaction.
• Follow Deerfield Park District policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Maintain good safety and awareness and follow all safety guidelines and procedures.

Our Adult Basketball Supervisor will perform tasks related to running the basketball league at the Sachs Recreation Center.

Mondays 6:00-9:30PM

Pay rate: $18.00

Essential Functions Include

• Set up scorer's table.
• Operate scoreboard, including keeping time, fouls and score during the games.
• Ensures that teams sign in on the scoresheets.
• Record final scores for reporting to Athletic Supervisor.
• Ensure games are conducted in a safe, fair and timely manner.
• Provide a high quality of customer service in a professional manner to the internal customer that will facilitate team building and exceptional customer service to the external customer.
• Follow the Deerfield Park District policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Maintains good safety and awareness and follow all safety guidelines and procedures.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years old or older

• Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with those contacted during work at all levels, including a culturally diverse public with a focus on safety and quality customer service

Wage Range: $18 -$20, starting pay at the base of range.
