Duties

• Plan and deliver effective instruction to adult learners in various subjects, including special education, adult language education, and literacy education.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and engagement.
• Develop and implement instructional strategies and materials that meet the diverse needs of adult learners.
• Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a productive learning environment.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback to support their learning and development.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and instructional resources.
• Stay up-to-date with current trends and best practices in adult education.

Skills

• Strong instructional design skills to create engaging and effective lesson plans.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to adult learners.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
• Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with adult learners from diverse backgrounds.
• Experience working with students in a tutoring or small group setting is preferred.
