What You’ll Do

• Assist individuals with goals including independent living activities, personal care, meal preparation, academics and work readiness.
• Support individuals in participating in community activities and recreational outings.
• Implement individualized service plans and behavioral support plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes.
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes independence and self-esteem.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of people supported at all times.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• COVID vaccinated
• Valid New York State Driver’s License, willing to drive as directed by the employer
• Certified in CPR/First Aid
• Certified in AMAP (meds)
• Certified in SCIP-R (crisis management)

Preferred Experience

• 1+ year working with people with developmental disabilities
• Experience in residential or health-related settings
• Strong teamwork and documentation skills

Physical & Work Environment

This is a hands‑on role—you’ll be actively involved. You need to be comfortable lifting, providing physical care, and working active days. You should have a strong sense of responsibility and reliability: caring for the people you serve and staying until the next team member arrives.
