Job summary

Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging is seeking a Supervisor for the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) in Ohio. The role leads a team delivering services to older adults, ensuring quality and adherence to agency standards.

Responsibilities include staff supervision, clinical guidance on complex cases, and driving program development and process improvements, with opportunities to participate in LEAN initiatives and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

  • Current licensure as a social worker (LSW, LISW) or RN in Ohio for clinical supervisor roles; Bachelor's for non-clinical.
  • Three years' experience in home care for the elderly or related geriatric services.
  • Preference for at least two years of supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of disease processes, community resources, assessment, and case management.
  • Experience with LEAN or similar process-improvement methods preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills and ability to learn IT platforms used by ADRC.
  • Lift up to 20 lbs; valid Ohio driver's license and car available during workdays.
  • Occasional on-call Saturday mornings or evening work may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise staff: interview, hire, assign work, evaluate performance, coach and mentor.
  • Provide clinical guidance on complex cases and ethical/legal implications.
  • Set unit goals and ensure compliance, productivity, and quality targets.
  • Prepare monthly data and narrative reports on performance metrics and trends.
  • Participate in learning, training, and NCQA standards within ADRC.
  • Develop and revise policies; guide program processes and improvements.
  • Join management teams on clinical issues, caseload, referrals, and QA.
  • Assist with new staff training and ongoing training needs.
  • Communicate clearly with staff, leadership, and stakeholders.
  • Lead LEAN projects and agency-wide initiatives to improve efficiency.
  • Represent the agency in community engagements and partnerships.
  • Accompany staff on home, institutional, and community visits for QA.
  • Perform other duties as assigned; exercise discretion on significant matters.
