Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a payroll professional to manage weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff across Charleston and Jacksonville using ADP/Dayforce. The role emphasizes precise time-punch interpretation, wage calculations, and deductions to ensure accurate payroll output.

The candidate will input garnishments, coordinate pay-rate and deduction changes with HR, and prepare payroll journals for JDE/E1. Strong Excel and HRIS skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma + minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or a university degree.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
• Experience with ADP/Dayforce is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in payroll processing.

Responsibilities

• Process hourly and salaried payroll on a weekly/bi-weekly basis.
• Ensure accurate inputting of garnishments and vacation for import into ADP/Dayforce.
• Coordinate changes in pay rates, vacations, deduction changes, etc. with Human Resources.
• Create payroll journal entry for input into JDE/E1.
• Submit final payroll for approval to Financial Rep. Distribution Director.
• Collaborate with internal and external audit teams to prepare documentation for payroll audits.
• Serve as backup payroll processing for EDEN/NDC.
• Assist with monthly financial reporting requirements as needed.
• Other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
