Job summary

SJRC Texas/Belong is seeking a Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Recruiter to identify adoptive homes for children in foster care and support families through adoption finalization. The candidate will work closely with Adoption Specialists, families, and social networks to build readiness for adoption, while maintaining detailed case records and ensuring culturally sensitive practices.

Qualifications

• - Associate’s degree plus two years of relevant work experience or 60 credits plus two years of experience; experience may substitute education.
• - Preferred: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Child Welfare or related field.
• - Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• - Valid Texas Driver’s License or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• - Conduct initial referrals and establish contact with Adoption Specialist to kick off WWK processes.
• - Maintain regular monthly meetings with each child to build trust.
• - Review case records and draft recruitment plans.
• - Perform diligent search for potential adoptive families and supports.
• - Prepare child and family for adoption and educate about adoption barriers.
• - Attend meetings and trainings as required; travel up to 95% of the time.
• - Document efforts in multiple databases and produce final court reports.
