Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Case Manager for Adoption to provide comprehensive case management and permanency services to children, youth, and families through the adoption journey. The role includes in-home services, safety planning, and collaboration with courts to ensure timely outcomes.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field, Kansas licensure preferred, at least two years of experience with children and families, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or human service field.
• License to practice in Kansas preferred.
• Prefer two years’ experience with children/youth and families.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must pass drug screen, MVR, KBI, Child Abuse & Neglect Central Registry Clearance check and Adult Registry Check.
• FBI fingerprint check.
• Lifting requirements of 50 lbs.
• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct in-home services including parenting skills, life skills, child development, crisis intervention, and behavior management.
• Assesses safety and completes safety plans with children/youth and families.
• Develops, implements, and reviews case plans to achieve permanency goals.
• Identifies services needed for child/family, including mental health, drug and alcohol services, and visitations.
• Travels statewide to provide case management services and conducts court-related duties.
• Maintains documentation and participates in supervisory and team meetings.
