Job summary

Tobin & Associates seeks an experienced RN for a Perm (and Interim) Assistant Director of Nursing / Wound Care Nurse role at a large, fast-paced Skilled Nursing Facility in Newark, Ohio. You will work with the Director of Nursing to guide staff, oversee daily clinical operations, and ensure high-quality resident care.

Ideal candidates have an active RN license in Ohio and prior leadership in a skilled nursing setting, with wound care certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Ohio.
• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care.
• Leadership experience (ADON/DON/unit manager) preferred.
• Wound care knowledge/certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing with daily oversight of nursing services and clinical operations.
• Spearhead wound care treatments and initiatives.
• Support staffing, scheduling, and nursing team accountability to maintain continuity of care.
• Conduct clinical rounds, review documentation, and monitor resident condition changes.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and state/federal requirements.
• Participate in quality improvement, infection prevention, and survey readiness efforts.
• Provide staff education, coaching, and hands-on clinical support as needed.
• Collaborate with residents, families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team to address care needs.
