In this role, you will work closely with the Director of Nursing to support daily clinical operations, guide nursing staff, and maintain consistent, high-quality resident care. This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on nursing leader who can quickly build relationships and provide support during a leadership transition.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Director of Nursing with daily oversight of nursing services and clinical operations.
Support staffing, scheduling, and nursing team accountability to promote continuity of care.
Conduct clinical rounds, review documentation, and follow up on changes in resident condition.
Support wound care management, including skin assessments, treatment monitoring, documentation, and collaboration with the wound care team to promote healing and prevent skin breakdown.
Help maintain compliance with facility policies and applicable state and federal requirements.
Participate in quality improvement, infection prevention, and survey readiness activities.
Provide staff education, coaching, and hands-on clinical support as needed.
Collaborate with residents, families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team to address care needs and concerns.
Assist with incident investigations and follow-through on corrective actions.
Qualifications
Active, unrestricted RN license authorizing practice in Ohio.
Previous nursing experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
Prior ADON, DON, unit manager, or comparable nursing leadership experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of clinical practices, documentation, and skilled nursing operations.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to adapt quickly and lead effectively.
