Job summary

River Edge Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to organize and direct the Nursing Service Department in compliance with standards. The ADON supports the director of nursing and leads the nursing team, ensuring patient comfort and high-quality care.

Strong leadership, clear communication, and staff development are essential; will supervise, delegate, and evaluate nursing activities, participate in budgeting, rounds, and responding to complaints.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of two years in a supervisory role in a nursing care facility.
• Infection Preventionist certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help hire, train, and monitor nurses.
• Manage clinical operations and develop care plans.
• Assist in budget preparation and expense management.
• Conduct patient rounds and address complaints.
• Train and educate staff.
