LEWIS AND CLARK, located in St. Charles, Missouri, is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our team. The ADON will oversee onboarding, scheduling, coaching, and budget monitoring to ensure high-quality patient care.

The role requires strong communication, healthcare law knowledge, and the ability to lead staff and improve performance, while maintaining accurate records and compliance across departments.

Responsibilities

• Hiring new nurses and onboarding them or assigning trainers.
• Creating schedules to ensure adequate coverage for every shift.
• Coaching nurses to improve performance and address discipline issues.
• Monitoring expenses to keep the facility within budget.
• Holding staff meetings to discuss patient status.
• Conducting employee evaluations identifying strengths and improvement areas.
• Making rounds to assess patient status and observe nurses.
• Checking patient records for accuracy and up-to-date information.
