Job summary

The Willows at Ramapo Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Suffern, NY is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing and lead nursing operations. The role emphasizes quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and staff development.

The ideal candidate holds an active New York RN license, prior leadership in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting, and strong knowledge of NY DoH regulations.

Qualifications

• Current NY RN license.
• Prior nursing leadership experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of NY DoH regulations and long-term care compliance standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Compassionate and resident-centered approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and directing nursing department operations
• Support and supervise nursing staff to ensure quality resident care and compliance with facility policies
• Monitor clinical practices to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and evaluating nursing personnel
• Conduct clinical rounds and address resident care concerns promptly
• Assist with infection control, quality assurance, and risk management initiatives
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance resident outcomes
• Support staff education and ongoing professional development
• Help maintain accurate clinical documentation and regulatory preparedness
• Participate in on-call rotation as needed
