Job summary

Upstate Services Group seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) in New York to support and guide the nursing staff while partnering with the Director of Nursing in daily operations. This full-time leadership role focuses on maintaining high standards of resident care and regulatory compliance.

You will oversee care standards, care planning, staff training, documentation, and collaborative leadership to drive quality outcomes and staff development.

Qualifications

• New York State RN license required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in long-term care settings.
• Proven ability to train, lead, and manage clinical staff effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage Care Standards across the nursing team to ensure high-quality service for all residents.
• Regulatory Compliance: ensure adherence to applicable regulations and standards with effective communication across staff levels.
• Address resident nursing needs with individualized, compassionate care and effective care planning.
• Assist in developing and implementing personalized nursing care plans.
• Support and train nursing staff, ensuring current best practices and clinical advancements.
• Oversee accurate and timely documentation of medical records and resident information.
• Participate in interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new nursing staff.
