Job summary

The Villages on MacArthur in Irving, TX seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join as Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON). You will lead nursing staff, ensure high-quality resident care, and collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team.

This is a key management role in a facility known for rehabilitation and long-term care. Ideal candidates bring skilled nursing experience, strong leadership, and a solid grasp of regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Must have RN or LPN license in the state of practice.
• Experience in skilled nursing facility operations and regulatory compliance.
• Nursing management and/or staff development experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain strong employee relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintains nursing service obligations, goals, and standards of nursing practices per licensure and Nurse Practice Act.
• Directs and coordinates nursing staff to provide resident care.
• Screens prospective residents and assesses ongoing resident needs.
• Ensures infection control procedures and QA programs are followed.
• Acts as liaison between facility and outside caregivers.
• Conducts staff conferences, evaluations, and participates in hiring and orientation.
• Manages nursing service budget and decision authority for nursing care aspects.
• Ensures medications, treatments, and nursing services align with care plans.
