Job summary

The Pavilion Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Hyannis is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to lead nursing services across shifts, ensure high-quality resident care, and drive staff development programs. The ADON will act as senior clinical manager when the Director of Nursing is unavailable and coordinate infection control efforts.

Ideal candidates hold an RN license, have extensive clinical and management experience in long-term care, and can guide teams through regulatory

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid RN license.
• Some working knowledge of computers.
• Infection Preventionist certification a plus, or be eligible to certify.
• Experience leading nursing staff in long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the quality of care provided to residents.
• Conduct rounds to monitor staff assignments and resident concerns.
• Serve as Staff Development Educator for all shifts.
• Act as senior clinical manager in absence of the Director of Nursing.
• Participate in staff evaluations and record-keeping.
• Coordinate orientation for new employees.
• Maintain training content and attendance records.
• Apply adult learning principles in training.
• Ensure adherence to practice acts for nursing disciplines.
• Influence staff to perform at high skill levels.
• Serve as Infection Control Coordinator and monitor infection control data.
