Job summary

AristaCare Health Services is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to assist the Director of Nursing in leading the clinical team and providing high-quality resident care. This leadership role focuses on ensuring patient-centered care and operational excellence in a long-term care setting.

The ADON will coordinate infection control, lead staff training, support compliance, and help maintain adequate staffing levels while overseeing competency evaluations and corrective action plans.

Qualifications

• RN license valid in NJ.
• 5 years of progressively responsible nursing experience in clinical setting.
• 3 years of supervisory experience in long term care/sub-acute setting.
• Infection control: 1 year (Preferred).
• Must be computer literate and experience with EMR preferred.
• Completion of IP Course within 3-6 months of hire would be expected.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the upmost quality and patient-centered care of residents.
• Coordinate infection control.
• Plan organize and implement training programs/in-services for clinical staff.
• Assist with compliance and ensure effective communication with all levels of nursing staff.
• Ensure adequate and appropriate staffing of the facility nursing department to meet the needs of residents.
• Oversee the process for competency evaluations and corrective action plans.
