Cedarhurst Senior Living in Des Peres, MO, is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing to lead clinical operations under the Director of Nursing. You will supervise nursing and caregiving staff, ensure care aligns with physician directives, regulatory standards, and the community’s mission, while promoting safety, wellbeing, and resident dignity.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with active RN or LPN license.
• 3+ years nursing experience preferred.
• CPR and BLS certification preferred.
• Knowledge of person-centered care and dementia care.
• Experience with preadmission assessments and staff training.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in maintaining nursing practice standards.
• Oversee medications, treatments, and nursing services per care plans.
• Develop and maintain in-service education programs for staff.
• Conduct daily rounds to monitor nursing care delivery.
• Plan and participate in management decisions for care services.
• Assess residents for appropriate levels of care and coordinate staffing.
• Supervise medications for residents who self-administer when applicable.
• Oversee pharmacy relationships and ensure timely medication delivery and accurate eMAR.
