Job summary

Aviata Health Group in Largo, FL is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in overseeing daily clinical operations at our facility. The ADON will lead nursing staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive quality of care and patient outcomes.

Qualified candidates hold an active RN license and have 2–3 years of supervisory experience in skilled nursing or long-term care, with strong leadership and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Minimum 2–3 years of supervisory experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and healthcare compliance.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in managing nursing staff and clinical operations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Monitor and improve quality of care and patient outcomes.
• Support staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
• Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Help maintain accurate clinical documentation and reporting.
