Job summary

Acts Retirement-Life Communities in Maryland is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to oversee orientation, in-service education, and nursing training across the skilled nursing neighborhood. The role includes implementing educational programs and supporting the DON with management and administrative functions.

The ADON will oversee the infection control program as infection preventionist to ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations.

Qualifications

• Current State RN license.
• Minimum of five years’ clinical experience; preferably in long-term care.
• Experience with in-service education.
• Clinical supervisory experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of principles of nursing care and Federal/State long-term care regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement new hire orientation programs for nursing staff.
• Lead educational in-service and clinical training for all nursing personnel.
• Oversee the infection control program as the designated infection preventionist.
• Assist the Director of Nursing with management and administrative functions.
