SCHOFIELD&ASSOCIATES LLC is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) in Evansville, IN to partner with the Director of Nursing in leading the nursing team and ensuring high-quality resident care. The ADON oversees daily operations, supports staff development, and helps drive quality improvement.

Ideal candidates are an Indiana-licensed RN or LPN with 1+ year of nursing leadership, solid organizational and communication skills, and a genuine passion for senior care.

Qualifications

• RN or LPN license in Indiana (active, good standing).
• Minimum 1 year nursing leadership experience (long-term care preferred).
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership abilities.
• Genuine passion for senior care with ability to inspire others.
• Knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the nursing department with the DON.
• Supervise and develop nursing staff; provide guidance and training.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and facility policies.
• Participate in care planning, assessments, and interdisciplinary meetings.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident care outcomes.
• Assist in recruitment and onboarding of new staff.
• Step in for the DON as needed and be a go-to for staff and residents.
