Job summary

Mountain Top Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and directing daily nursing operations in a skilled nursing facility.

The role focuses on policy development, staff management, and ensuring accurate assessments, care plans, and regulatory compliance while maintaining residents’ privacy and quality of care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Valid PA state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Current AHA health care provider training (BCLS).
• Demonstrated experience within a skilled nursing facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing Services in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Department, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines governing the facility.
• Develop, maintain, and update written policies and procedures for the Nursing Department.
• Ensure nursing staff follow job descriptions and update them as required by laws and regulations.
• Participate in regulatory surveys and ensure completeness of assessments, medication orders, and care plans.
• Create and maintain nurse staffing schedules and review unit assignments.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Valid PA state licensure as a Registered Nurse

Current AHA health care provider training (BCLS)
